Holistic Treatment Approaches to Support Your Healing
These are merely tools. Your body is the true guide.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage is the broad foundation of my hands-on work. I use thoughtful, responsive touch to address muscular tension, discomfort, restricted movement, stress, and the effects of everyday life on the body. My style is generally gentle to moderate rather than deep-tissue or sports-oriented. I listen through my hands and adjust the pressure, pace, and techniques according to the client’s body rather than applying a predetermined routine.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial release works with the fascia — the connective tissue that surrounds and links the muscles, bones, organs, and other structures of the body. Using slow, sustained pressure and gentle stretching, I follow areas of restriction rather than forcing the tissue to change. This approach may help soften long-held patterns of tension, improve mobility, and create a greater sense of space and ease throughout the body.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage uses very light, rhythmic, directional touch to support the natural movement of lymphatic fluid. It may be incorporated to help with swelling, fluid retention, lymphatic congestion, inflammation, and appropriate pre- or post-surgical care. Because the lymphatic vessels are close to the surface of the skin, this work is gentle and precise rather than deep. It can also have a profoundly calming effect on the nervous system.
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a subtle, light-touch modality that works with the body’s craniosacral system and its inherent rhythms. Through gentle contact at the head, spine, sacrum, and other areas, I listen for patterns of tension and invite the body toward greater balance and organization. Clients often experience deep stillness, nervous-system settling, and relief from tension that may not respond to more forceful approaches.
Reiki and Energy Healing
Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing that may be offered with light touch or with my hands held just above the body. Clients remain fully clothed and do not need to hold any particular belief for the work to be beneficial. Reiki creates space for deep rest, emotional settling, energetic balance, and reconnection with the body’s innate healing intelligence. I may use Reiki as the primary focus of a session or quietly integrate it into hands-on bodywork.
Sound Healing and Therapeutic Tuning Forks
Sound healing uses vibration and frequency to influence the body, mind, and energy system. I work with therapeutic tuning forks — including Fibonacci, Solfeggio, Otto, and Pythagorean frequencies — which may be sounded near the body or, when appropriate, gently placed on the body so the vibration can travel through the tissues. Sound can help quiet mental activity, deepen relaxation, support energetic balance, and create a felt sense of harmony and spaciousness.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping uses gentle suction to lift and decompress the tissues rather than pressing down into them. I primarily incorporate cups within slow, supported bodywork, placing or carefully guiding them along areas of restriction. Cupping may help create space within the fascia, encourage circulation and fluid movement, and soften tension without relying on heavy pressure. My approach is intentional and responsive rather than aggressive.
Gentle Scar Care
Gentle scar care works with healed scars and the surrounding tissues after it is medically appropriate to do so. Using light touch, myofascial techniques, lymphatic work, and gradual mobilization, I help the client reconnect with an area that may feel tight, numb, tender, restricted, or disconnected. The intention is to support softness, fluid movement, tissue mobility, and a renewed sense of connection—not to force or “break up” the scar.
Abdominal and Pelvic Massage
Abdominal and pelvic massage is gentle, external bodywork focused on the abdomen, hips, sacrum, diaphragm, and tissues surrounding the pelvis. The work considers the relationships among muscles, fascia, fluids, breath, scars, and the organs housed within the abdominal and pelvic region. It may help address tension, restricted movement, digestive discomfort, surgical changes, and feelings of disconnection from this part of the body. The client remains appropriately draped, and all work is guided by clear consent and ongoing communication.
Breathwork
Breathwork may be gently incorporated to help clients settle, soften protective tension, and become more aware of what is happening within their bodies. I use simple, accessible breathing practices rather than intense or rigid techniques. The breath may be coordinated with touch, movement, sound, or periods of stillness to help create safety, space, and a greater sense of internal ease.
Gentle Somatic Awareness
Somatic awareness means inviting the client to notice their internal experience — such as sensation, breath, temperature, movement, tension, or ease — without judgment or pressure to change it. I may offer a simple prompt or question that helps the client become more present and connected to their body. This is not psychotherapy; it is a gentle way of supporting body awareness and allowing the client to participate in the session without needing to analyze their experience.
Nervous-System Regulation
Nervous system regulation serves as the core philosophy guiding every session rather than acting as a standalone technique. The pace of the session, quality of touch, environment, positioning, breath, sound, and periods of stillness are all chosen to help the body feel safe enough to soften. Rather than chasing symptoms or forcing release, I create conditions that may help the client move out of stress, vigilance, or overwhelm and toward greater rest, regulation, and resilience.
Supported Restorative Positioning
Supported restorative positioning uses bolsters, blankets, pillows, and other props to place the body in comfortable, carefully adapted positions. The positions are brought to the client’s body — the client is never expected to force their body into a shape. While the body rests in these supported holds, I may incorporate massage, cupping, myofascial work, breath awareness, or stillness. This allows the tissues to soften gradually while creating a sense of support, spaciousness, and surrender.
Chakra Balancing
Chakra balancing works with the body’s energetic centers as a framework for noticing where energy may feel depleted, excessive, stagnant, or disconnected. I may use Reiki, intuitive energy work, sound, tuning forks, or light touch to support a greater sense of energetic flow and balance. This can be incorporated quietly into another session or chosen as a more intentional energetic enhancement.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy uses carefully selected essential oils to complement the intention of a session. Depending on the client’s preferences and sensitivities, an aroma may be chosen to support relaxation, grounding, clarity, comfort, or emotional ease. Aromatherapy is always optional and used with the client’s consent, particularly because scent can be deeply personal and some clients are sensitive to fragrances.
Although these modalities can be described individually, the heart of my work lies in how I combine them.
I do not begin with the assumption that every client — or even the same client on a different day — needs the same kind of session. I listen to what the client tells me, what their body communicates through the tissues, and how their nervous system responds.
From there, I draw from the approaches that feel most appropriate, creating a session that is attuned, responsive, relational, and genuinely individualized.

A note about these approaches:
This isn’t a list of services you can book individually. While some of these modalities are available as standalone sessions, many are woven into our time together based on what your body and needs are calling for that day.
If there’s a particular modality you don’t want included in your treatment, please let me know during your initial consultation so we can create an approach that feels right for you.
